Is there a prescribed ruqyah (healing by Qur'anic recitation) that works for one who has been struck by the evil eye, and is it permissible to treat the evil eye by other means that some people perform and claim cure?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is there a prescribed ruqyah (healing by Qur'anic recitation) that is performed for one who has been struck by the evil eye? And is it permissible to treat the evil eye by other means that some people perform, claiming that they cure it?

The Shaykh : The cure for being struck by the evil eye is to order the one who cast the evil eye to take a full ritual bath (ghusl). The water that drips from the bath is used by the afflicted person for healing, or he performs the ablution for prayer (wudu') and washes his private parts, and what scatters from it is taken to the person struck by the evil eye and used for healing. This is the known practice. If a person does this, then by the permission of Allah, he will be cured of the effect of the evil eye.

The questioner : May Allah reward you and bless you, O honorable Shaykh.
