A man afflicted with gas: Is his ruling the same as that of one who suffers from incontinence of urine, or what?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A questioner says, “May the Shaykh be honored… it is important in prayer, and I want to ask: I am afflicted with the passing of gas. Is my ruling the same as that of one who is afflicted with incontinence of urine, or not? And I ask Allah to grant you healing.”

The Shaykh : I ask Allah to heal him. I say: These gases that you are afflicted with, if you are unable to hold them in, then they are exactly like incontinence of urine. Accordingly, you should not perform ablution for prayer until after the time for it has entered. If you perform ablution and something passes from you, your ablution is not invalidated until the time for the next prayer arrives. When the time for the next prayer arrives, you perform ablution after its time has entered. I advise you to present yourself to a specialist doctor, so that perhaps Allah may bring about healing through his hands.
