What is the ruling on wearing gold or other items engraved with the name of Allah or Muhammad?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the ruling on wearing gold or other items engraved with the name of Allah or Muhammad?

The Shaykh : Yes, wearing gold for men is forbidden in all cases, even if there are no engravings on it, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding gold and silk:
It is made lawful for the women of my Ummah and forbidden for the men. حل لإناث أمتي حرام على ذكورها
.
As for the woman, gold is lawful for her, such as rings, bracelets, and the like. However, what is written with the name of Allah or Muhammad should not be worn. As for what is written with the name of Allah, it is because it involves worshipping Allah the Exalted in a manner He has not prescribed, and because it involves disrespecting the name of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, as a woman might wipe her child’s face with the hand wearing the ring. As for what is written with the name of Muhammad, it is feared that this falls under the category of seeking blessing from this name, which is forbidden, because seeking blessing from the name of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) written on a piece of paper, on a piece of iron, or on anything else is an innovation. The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) did not seek blessing from such things.
However, if a woman writes her name on her ring for a need, there is nothing wrong with it. As for what some women do of writing their husband’s name on their ring, and the husband writing his wife’s name on his ring, this is undoubtedly an innovation and adopting a cause that Allah the Exalted has not made a cause. They claim that if the husband’s name is written on the woman’s ring, he will not divorce her, and if her name is written on his ring, he will not divorce her. This is an error; there is no effect of this in retaining or divorcing. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you. The questioner, F.A.A. from al-Hassa, al-Hufuf district, says: Your Eminence, may Allah preserve you, my question is.
