The Shaykh : It is permissible for you to marry and not inform your wife of this, but the marriage contract must be public and announced, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded that, saying: And if you do what Allah and His Messenger commanded regarding the announcement of the marriage, then Allah the Exalted will make your wife pleased with you when she learns of it.
