A school working in the Kingdom provides her with housing; is it wrong for me to work away from my husband and children, given that I traveled with my husband's permission to buy a house?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The questioner says: She works here in the Kingdom and is provided with housing. She asks: Is it wrong for me to work away from my husband and children? Of course, I traveled with my husband's permission to help my children by buying a house for them and providing for their education. Is this money forbidden? Is it forbidden for me to travel alone, even though I am internally convinced by the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) hadith that a woman should not travel alone? And if my husband travels with me and then returns to Egypt, leaving me to work alone, is it forbidden for me to stay in my secured housing?

The Shaykh : As for her traveling without a mahram, and her believing that it is forbidden yet contradicting that belief, this is a greater affliction and a greater sin, because she is in the position of one who says, "We heard and we disobeyed." It is obligatory for her to arrange for her husband to accompany her in travel and residence. She must find work for her husband in this country. If she cannot find work for him, he must accompany her, as is the practice in this country. Praise be to Allah, when a woman is needed for teaching, she must bring a companion, either her husband or a mahram.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
