The meaning of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "And whoever does not believe in you and does not testify that I am your Messenger, do not make meeting you pleasing to him, do not make your decree easy for him, and give him more of this world"

The Shaykh : The effect of this beneficial supplication for the believers is the supplication with which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) supplicated against the disbelievers, which is the opposite of all that, where he (peace be upon him) said: Sahih Ibn Hibban 4:83 And this supplication of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) is among the supplications for which Allah (Mighty and Majestic) answered his (peace be upon him) supplication... because it is not necessary that every supplication with which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) supplicates is answered, contrary to what is in the minds of some people who deal with Islamic rulings according to their desires, or at least according to their emotions. It is not necessary that every supplication with which the Messenger (peace be upon him) supplicates is answered by Allah for him, even though the general case is so. And for that reason, he (may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him) said, and this is from His favor, mercy, and compassion for His Ummah (community), he said: So this supplication is answered with certainty. Therefore, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) knew how to use it well and knew where to place it in the appropriate place, so he said: Sahih Muslim 201 As for the other supplications, they may be answered or they may not be answered. Among the famous supplications that our Lord (Blessed and Exalted is He) did not answer for His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) for a wisdom He knows is that he supplicated that He not make the harm of his Ummah severe among them, but that was not accepted from him (peace be upon him).
I say that it appears that this supplication, which is the subject of our lesson tonight, is among those that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) answered for His Prophet, because its meaning in both paragraphs, the first paragraph concerning the believer and the other paragraph concerning the disbeliever, the meaning of this and the meaning of this is manifested in the believer and in the disbeliever. And as we said regarding the first paragraph, it is a general matter, but as for what concerns the disbeliever, our Lord (Mighty and Majestic) has mentioned in His Book what can be considered a confirmation or explanation of a phrase in this hadith, which is His saying (Blessed and Exalted is He):[Taha 20:124] This distress that the disbeliever lives in, and the clearest manifestation of this distress is in the present age, which was supposed to be the time when the disbeliever would attain his share of enjoyment and comfort due to the means, inventions, and innovations provided for him to facilitate that, but all of that turned against him because of his disbelief. And for that reason, he (peace be upon him) said: "And whoever does not believe in him and does not believe in him (peace be upon him), do not make his decree easy for him." He is not satisfied with his decree no matter what it is, even if its difficulty is little; he takes, curses, and agitates, and his entire life becomes distorted. This is very clear, so he is a verification of the previous verse first, and of this authentic hadith second.
Sahih Ibn Hibban 4:83 As Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Baqarah 2:96] Unlike the believer, as is known in the biography of the righteous Salaf (earliest generations), Sahih Ibn Hibban 4:83 he is always in distress. And give him more of this world. And is there more of this world than what you see today among the disbelievers!
And whoever does not believe in you and does not testify that I am your Messenger, do not make meeting you pleasing to him, do not make your decree easy for him, and give him more of this world
ومن لم يؤمن بك ولم يشهد أني رسولك فلا تحبب إليه لقاءك ولا تسهل عليه قضاءك وأكثر له من الدنياIndeed, every Prophet has an answered supplication, and I have kept my supplication as intercession for my Ummah on the Day of Resurrection, so it will be granted, if Allah wills, to everyone who dies testifying that there is no god but Allah
إن لكل نبي دعوة مستجابة وإني خبأت دعوتي شفاعة لأمتي يوم القيامة فهي نائلة إن شاء الله كل من مات وهو يشهد أن لا إله إلا اللهI have reserved my prayer for the intercession of my Ummah on the Day of Resurrection.
خبأت دعوتي شفاعة لأمتي يوم القيامةI say that it appears that this supplication, which is the subject of our lesson tonight, is among those that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) answered for His Prophet, because its meaning in both paragraphs, the first paragraph concerning the believer and the other paragraph concerning the disbeliever, the meaning of this and the meaning of this is manifested in the believer and in the disbeliever.
