The questioner : I have fasted Ramadan since I reached puberty, and praise be to Allah. In last Ramadan, I went to the doctor for a checkup, and he told me: "You are suffering from a gastric ulcer," and he forbade me from fasting until I recover. But I fasted and completed the month of Ramadan without suffering, and I did not feel anything. The question: Will I fast next Ramadan, if Allah wills, knowing that I do not feel anything? And what do you advise me? May you be rewarded.

The Shaykh : This does not require a question, because as long as the man fasted last Ramadan while he was close to treatment, and yet he did not see any harm, we hope that the coming Ramadan will be the same. The matter depends on the condition of this questioner when Ramadan arrives. If he has the ability to fast, let him fast. If he does not have the ability to fast, he does not fast.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
