The questioner : In which places does the worshipper raise his hands to his ears in prayer?

The Shaykh : In all places, raising the hands has two forms without specifying a particular place, such as the takbir of ihram, ruku', or otherwise. Either one raises them to the ears without touching the earlobes, as some of the obsessively anxious do, or one lowers them slightly until they are level with the tops of the shoulders. Whichever one does, he has followed the Sunnah, and it is better to do this one way at times and the other way at other times.
