Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As it came in the authentic hadith from his saying (peace and blessings be upon him)
Marry those who are fertile and loving, for I will be shown your numbers among the nations on the Day of Resurrection. تزوجوا الولود الودودفإني مباه بكم الأمم يوم القيامة
,
Marry those who are fertile and loving, for I will be shown your numbers among the nations on the Day of Resurrection. تزوجوا الولود الودودفإني مباه بكم الأمم يوم القيامة
, the one who marries and protects his chastity and protects his wife’s chastity has a reward for that. Those men did not know this, so one of them vowed upon himself what was previously mentioned. He said, “As for me, I will not marry women,” and they departed. Then, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) returned and they mentioned to him what they had heard from those men regarding their mutual agreement, the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon in his mosque and said:
What is the matter with the people that they say such and such? ما بال أقوام يقولون كذا وكذا وكذا
Sunan Abi Dawud 4788Sahih (Al-Albani)
. He (peace and blessings be upon him) repeated to the hearing of the attendees what each of them had said: the last one said he would not marry women, the second said, “I will stand in prayer for the rest of my life, fast for the rest of my life, and not break my fast,” and the other said, “I will stand in prayer at night and not sleep.”
