Is it permissible to perform tawaf around the House while riding? And what is the ruling on performing sa'y by walking on the small wall?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : And which is better for the one who performs tawaf, to ride or to walk?

The Shaykh : And is this possible today...?

The questioner : On a camel, I mean?

The Shaykh : I mean, if walking is possible, that is a great good.

The questioner : The camel has taken the place of the mount; the camel has taken the place of the beast of burden.

The Shaykh : This camel today is not ridden by the strong, like the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but as you see, it is ridden by old women like myself.
Al-Halabi : Then, the riding of the Prophet and his tawaf on his mount is for permissibility, not the original practice. Is that not so?

The Shaykh : But some people may cling to the apparent meanings.
Al-Halabi : But as for the original practice, is it as I mentioned?

The Shaykh : Without a doubt, because in the same narration it says, "so that the people would see him," meaning this is a decisive text that it was not an act of worship.
Al-Halabi : Yes, yes, Ya Salam.
Al-Halabi : So that the people would see him?

The Shaykh : So that the people would see him and ask him, and ask him.
