Explanation of the Hadith (If you had not committed sins, Allah would have taken you away...)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Here I wanted to mention a hadith regarding your statement, but then my thought drifted to another hadith regarding my companion's statement, heh.
He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
if you were not to commit sin, Allah would sweep you out of existence and He would replace (you by) those people who would commit sin and seek forgiveness from Allah, and He would have pardoned them.
Sahih Muslim 2749
. What is the meaning of this hadith?
The meaning of this hadith is that Allah (Mighty and Majestic), who stated explicitly in the Noble Qur'an that He created man in the best of forms, did not create him as an angel who is free from sin
they do not disobey Allah in what He commands them but do what they are commanded.
[At-Tahrim 66:6]
, but rather He created him as a human being with intellect, a soul, desire, and will. So he lives among these traits which Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has enabled him with or in which He has placed him, so that he may obey Allah (Mighty and Majestic), not within the limits of being free from sin; because there is no freedom from sin by the indication of this hadith; meaning our Lord does not want people to be free from sin, nor is there any refutation of His decree and will, but He wants from them that when they commit sins, they should seek forgiveness
if you were not to commit sin, Allah would sweep you out of existence and He would replace (you by) those people who would commit sin and seek forgiveness from Allah, and He would have pardoned them.
Sahih Muslim 2749
.
And this hadith, of course, does not mean encouraging the commission of sins, but rather it means encouraging seeking forgiveness in case sins are committed.

The questioner : ... ؟ .

The Shaykh : With what you were born.

The questioner : Is it comprehensive of all sins or only the minor ones?

The Shaykh : What is it?

The questioner : I mean this sin.

The Shaykh : Whatever sin it is, yes.

The questioner : For example, major sins, my master?

The Shaykh : Whatever sin it is. The hadith that came to my mind regarding your statement has slipped from my memory. What did you say?

The questioner : Not praying, then committing... actually, that he should pray.

The Shaykh : Yes, the hadith came to my mind that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, I entered a walled garden and found a woman in it, and I did with her what a man does with his wife, except that I did not have intercourse with her. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Did you pray with us?
. He said: Yes. He said:
Verily, the good deeds remove the evil deeds
Sunan Ibn Majah 1398Sahih (Darussalam)
. And therefore, your saying to the man, in addition to the fact that you do such and such, drink such and such, "Pray, my brother, for good deeds erase bad deeds," this approach is a Shari'ah approach, not an innovative approach as you indicated about some people. And I also recall on this occasion that a young man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, permit me to commit zina. He said:
Would you be pleased with it for your mother? He said: No. He said: Likewise, people are not pleased with it for their mothers. He said: Would you be pleased with it for your sister? He said: No. He said: Likewise, people are not pleased with it for their sisters أترضاه لأمك ؟
. Then the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his hand on the man's chest and said:
O Allah, protect his private parts and purify his soul
.

The questioner : Now, is it among the callers to Islam that a person should call upon the Lord of the Worlds to protect him from error and mistakes, meaning as if it is not recommended?

The Shaykh : No, this is in a hadith in al-Bukhari
The one who is protected is he whom God protects.
Mishkat al-Masabih 3691
, he is asking

The questioner : Is this recommended?

The Shaykh : Yes, this, and then he takes from it what is appropriate to his humanity, as we said earlier.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good. And by Allah, there is no doubt that what stirred this spiritual state in you is the mercy of the Lord of the Worlds. How is it that this person would commit such a grave matter,

The Shaykh : Allahu Akbar.

The questioner : One prayer

The Shaykh : Allahu Akbar.

The questioner : And he stumbles, all this matter, and this is from the mercy of Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, upon His servants. Otherwise, people would be afflicted with horns

The Shaykh : Yes, by Allah

The questioner : And this is what they restrict upon people now. Now we are talking to those who adopt theories and parties and such, and in the end, look at what the Muslims are doing? My brother, this one went for Hajj and came back... in this sense, as if they want the one who prays or performs Hajj or such to become perfect.
So we tell him: My brother, you are a Muslim, you are a Muslim, but you are not perfect. And be you an example for them. If this Islam that they have adopted does not please you,

The Shaykh : Be you better than it, correct, yes.

The questioner : The hadith that the believer is created as one who is tested and forgotten.

The Shaykh : Yes, by Allah, Allah is the Greatest.

The questioner : When he is reminded, he remembers.

The Shaykh : And what is his perfection?

The questioner : I don't remember.

The Shaykh : In his perfection.

The questioner : I thought it was in "al-Jami'" but I am not finding it.

The Shaykh : Which hadith?

The questioner: This.

The Shaykh : Which part do you have?

The questioner : The first and second.

The Shaykh : Is this al-Jami'?

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : "Sahih al-Jami'".

The questioner : There is no deity but You, Glory be to You, indeed I was among the wrongdoers.
