Explanation of the Hadith: (If you had not committed sins, Allah would have taken you away...)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The other hadith, which is more important, in which he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
if you were not to commit sin, Allah would sweep you out of existence and He would replace (you by) those people who would commit sin and seek forgiveness from Allah, and He would have pardoned them. لو لم تذنبوا لذهب الله بكم ولجاء بقوم يذنبون فيستغفرون الله فيغفر لهم
Sahih Muslim 2749
If you had not committed sins, Allah would have taken you away and brought a people who would take your place and commit sins in place of you. So will you not commit sins? This is the divine decree and destiny; it is inevitable for the human race to fall into error that Allah does not love. However, this error may be from the minor sins, the trivial ones, or it may be from the major sins. Whether it is one or the other, this is something that must happen. But does the hadith
if you were not to commit sin, Allah would sweep you out of existence and He would replace (you by) those people who would commit sin and seek forgiveness from Allah, and He would have pardoned them. لو لم تذنبوا لذهب الله بكم ولجاء بقوم يذنبون فيستغفرون الله فيغفر لهم
Sahih Muslim 2749
does the hadith and its intent encourage sins and the commission of disobedience? The answer is no. The exact intent of the hadith is its consequence: they commit sins, then they seek forgiveness from Allah, and He forgives them. The meaning of this, then, is: O people, as He the Exalted said in the Qudsi Hadith:
all of you are astray except for those I have guided, so seek guidance of Me and I shall guide you كلكم ضال إلا من هديته فاستهدوني أهدكم
Sahih Muslim 2577a
to the end of the hadith. The point is that the hadith "If you had not committed sins" aims to tell you, O people, since you are created with a disposition toward disobedience, do not rely on it, but rather follow it with forgiveness through seeking forgiveness, so that forgiveness follows it. For Allah Mighty and Majestic says:
Indeed, good deeds do away with misdeeds. That is a reminder for those who remember. إِنَّ الحَسَنَاتِ يُذْهِبْنَ السَّيِّئَاتِ ذَلِكَ ذِكْرَى لِلذَّاكِرِينَ
[Hud 11:114]
If this is the nature of humans, that they err in deliberately violating the text, which are sins
