The father's wife forgot to shorten her hair and exited the state of ihram after tawaf and sa'y, and did not remember the shortening until she was in the city of Riyadh; what is the ruling in this case?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He has a set of questions. This year, the father's wife forgot to shorten her hair during her 'Umrah and exited the state of ihram after tawaf and sa'y, and did not remember the shortening until she was in Riyadh. What is the ruling? May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets and the Imam of the righteous, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment. If she forgot to shorten her hair during 'Umrah and did not remember it until she was in Riyadh, then she should shorten it, and there is no blame on her, if Allah wills. On this occasion, I would like to remind our Muslim brothers that when they wish to perform any act of worship, they should approach it with earnestness, occupy their hearts with it, and take it seriously. This is one aspect. The other aspect is that they should learn its rulings and what is obligatory for them in it, so that they worship Allah the Exalted with insight. How many are there who ask about things they neglected in the rituals of Hajj or 'Umrah, and perhaps many years pass before they realize it, only after those years have gone by. This is undoubtedly a deficiency, a deficiency in the person. If one of us wanted to travel to a country, he would not travel without a guide who shows him the way or describes the way to him, so that he knows how to proceed to that country and where to head. How much more so is it for the journey to the Gardens of Delight? Is it not more fitting for a person to take it with utmost care? And so it should be in transactions. A merchant should not engage in trade until he knows what is permissible in it and what is not permissible. And so it is in what they call personal status matters, such as marriage and divorce. A person should not divorce until he knows the limits of Allah the Exalted in divorce, and so on, regarding the laws and rituals of the religion. It is befitting for a person to receive them with determination, resolve, energy, and presence of heart, and to perform them with knowledge and insight. Allah Blessed and Exalted is He said:
Say, "Are those who know equal to those who do not know?" Only they will remember [who are] people of understanding. قُل هَل يَستَوِي الَّذينَ يَعلَمونَ وَالَّذينَ لا يَعلَمونَ إِنَّما يَتَذَكَّرُ أُولُو الأَلبابِ
[Az-Zumar 39:9]
. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you. So, this wife, may the Shaykh be honored, what is required of her?

The Shaykh : As I said, it is obligatory for her first to shorten her hair while she is in her location. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
