What is the manner of responding in a condolence? Is there a specific supplication for condolence?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : ... Is this its place? In the condolence.

The Shaykh : How?

The questioner : If one of his [relatives] dies ... during the condolence, [one says] "Praise be to Allah in all circumstances."

The Shaykh : Good; the condolence is a calamity.

The questioner : ... Hadith:
Praise be to God in all circumstances. I seek refuge in God from the state of those who go to hell. الحمد لله على كل حال ، ونعوذ بالله من حال أهل النار
Mishkat al-Masabih 2493
?

The Shaykh : Yes, but it is weak.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : There is no specific dhikr in the Sunnah for condolence, but we see the use of what came in "al-Sahihayn" that one of the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) daughters— and I think it was Zaynab— sent to him that her son was on the verge of death, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent her a condolence saying:
that whatever Allah takes is His, and whatever He gives is His, and everything with Him has a limited fixed term (in this world). So order her to be patient and hope for Allah's reward. إن لله ما أخذ ، ولله ما أعطى ، وكل شيء عنده بأجل مسمَّى ؛ فلتصبري ولتحتسبي
Sahih al-Bukhari 7377
. So if we place the one who is on the verge of losing his beloved and child in the position of the one who has been struck, this is the condolence; so there is nothing— as far as we know— from the established Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that replaces it.
