What is the meaning of the hadith: "Whoever sees me has truly seen me, for Satan does not take my form"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. The hadith
If someone sees me in his sleep, he has indeed seen me, for Satan cannot imitate me! من رآني فقد رآني حقاً فإن الشيطان لا يتمثل بي
Ash-Shama'il Al-Muhammadiyah 407Sahih (Zubair `Aliza'i)
?

The Shaykh :
For indeed the Shaitan can not resemble me. فإن الشيطان لا يتمثل بي
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2276Sahih (Darussalam)
This is an authentic hadith narrated by the two Shaykhs in their authentic collections. It has many similar wordings that convey this meaning, namely that Allah the Exalted protected His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from Satan resembling him to the children of Adam, even in dreams. This is the ultimate protection of Allah Mighty and Majestic for the infallibility of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and that is only to preserve His Shari'ah, Blessed and Exalted is He, so that a Muslim is not approached by Satan in his sleep. "Whoever sees me in a dream has truly seen me." Why? He (peace be upon him) explained this by saying
For indeed the Shaitan can not resemble me. فإن الشيطان لا يتمثل بي
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2276Sahih (Darussalam)
In another wording, it is said that Satan does not adorn himself with my likeness. Some people make a mistake; those who see or, more accurately, who think they saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in a dream, merely because it was suggested to them that they saw him in a dream. When they are asked about his (peace and blessings be upon him) attributes and characteristics, since they claim to have seen him, they answer with attributes that contradict what is known about him (peace and blessings be upon him) from his characteristics. This has happened to us many times with some of the dreamers. We used to ask them, and some would say, "I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and his face and beard were all white, all light." He imagines that he is describing the reality of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), not realizing that this description is false if applied to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). One who has extensive knowledge knows and understands this.
