Did he speak about the perfection of the message?

The Shaykh : This last section, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) left it as it came in the Qur'an, because the purpose of what came in the Qur'an regarding this section is to point to the vastness of the power of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), His wisdom, and the greatness of His power. As for what concerns beliefs, rulings, and conduct, He clarified that with a sufficient explanation. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) summarized the expression of this in a hadith narrated by Imam al-Shafi'i in a book of his known as al-Sunan. He said, with his chain of narration: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
He said: I have not left anything that brings you closer to Allah except that I commanded you with it, and I have not left anything that distances you from Allah and brings you closer to the Fire except that I forbade you from it.
And without a doubt, if this hadith had not been found in some of the books of the Imams, as I mentioned earlier, it would have been sufficient for us to have the saying of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He):
And We revealed to you the message that you may make clear to the people what was sent down to them
[An-Nahl 16:44]
that you may make clear to the people what was sent down to themلتبيّن للناس ما نُزّل إليهم
[An-Nahl 16:44]
Therefore, it came in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim also, from the hadith of the Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), that a man from the senior Tabi'un came to her. The name of this man was Misraq; he was a freed slave among the freed slaves, and he was one of the greatest scholars of the Tabi'un. He said: O Aisha, I ask you about the saying of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He):
(13) And he certainly saw him in another descent (14) At the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary -
[An-Najm 53:13-14]
Excuse me, this is for later; it was the first question because he asked about something else: He said: O Aisha, or O Mother of the Believers, did Muhammad see his Lord? She said: My hair stood on end from what you said. He said: O Mother of the Believers, have mercy on me and do not rush me. Does not Allah (Mighty and Majestic) say: "And indeed, he saw Him during another descent"? She said: I am the most knowledgeable of people about that. I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: I saw Jibril in the form in which he was created, twice, and he had six hundred wings, and he filled the horizon. Then she said, and here is the point: Three things: whoever tells you about them has committed a great lie against Allah. Whoever tells you that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) saw his Lord has committed a great lie against Allah. Then she recited the saying of Allah: وما كان لبشر أن يكلمه الله إلا وحيا أو من وراء حجاب أو يرسل رسولا And it is not for any human being that Allah should speak to him except by revelation or from behind a partition or that He sends a messenger[Ash-Shuraa 42:51] And whoever tells you that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) concealed something he was commanded to convey has exaggerated in lying against Allah (Mighty and Majestic). Then she recited, and here is the point: قوله تبارك وتعالى : يا أيها الرسول بلّغ ما أُنزل إليك من ربك وإن لم تفعل فما بلّغت رسالته والله يحفظك إيش يعصمك من الناس The saying of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He): "O Messenger, convey what has been revealed to you from your Lord. And if you do not do so, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people." -Here is the point, the second story- ومن حدثكم أن محمدا صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يعلم ما في غد فقد أعظم على الله الفرية ثم تلت قوله تعالى : قل لا يعلم من في السموات وما في الأرض الغيب إلا الله And whoever tells you that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) knew what was in tomorrow has committed a great lie against Allah. Then she recited the saying of Allah: "Say: No one in the heavens and on earth knows the unseen except Allah." This is a narration agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim. Imam Muslim added in the second section: قالت : السيدة عائشة ولو كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كاتما شيئا أُمر بتبليغه لكتم قول الله عز وجل: و إذ تقول للذي أنعم الله عليه وأنعمت عليه أمسك عليك زوجك واتق الله وتخفي في نفسك ما الله مبديه وتخشى الناس والله أحق أن تخشاه She said: The Lady Aisha said, "If the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had concealed anything he was commanded to convey, he would have concealed the saying of Allah (Mighty and Majestic): 'And [remember] when you said to him on whom Allah had bestowed favor and to whom you had bestowed favor, "Hold to your wife and fear Allah," while you concealed within yourself that which Allah is going to make apparent. You feared the people, but Allah has more right that you should fear Him.'" So if we add to the verse by which the Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) argued, بلّغ ما أنزل إليك من ربك announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord[Al-Ma'idah 5:67], the hadith we mentioned earlier, ما تركت شيئا يقربكم إلى الله إلا وأمرتكم به ... I have not left behind anything that brings you closer to Allah except that I have commanded you to do it..., and many other things, including what Imam Muslim narrated in his Sahih: ما بعث الله نبيا إلا كان حقا عليه أن يدل أمته على خير ما يعلمه لهم It was the duty of every Prophet that has gone before me to guide his followers to what he knew was good for themSahih Muslim 1844a, then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) conveyed the message and fulfilled the trust. He was very, very eager that it not be conveyed only to those present and witnessing, but he used to command them and say to them: فيبلغ الشاهد الغائب ، اللهم هل بلغت اللهم فاشهد so that the one present conveys it to the one absent, O Allah, have I conveyed it? O Allah, then be a witness So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) conveyed the message and fulfilled the trust. The message, to summarize now, contains two things: conveying the wording and clarifying the meaning regarding beliefs, rulings, and conduct. As for the unseen matters, which are expressed today as "beyond nature," he left them in the Qur'an for two reasons. The first is that no action follows from them. The second is to fulfill the saying of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He): سنريهم آياتنا في الآفاق وفي أنفسهم We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves[Fussilat 41:53] So these verses, in reality, will show that this is a miracle among the miracles of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). Therefore, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not address them with explanation except for what was little and rare. If we return to the three sections, I feel as if you are wondering: since the Messenger (peace be upon him) said: تركتكم على المحجة البيضاء I have left you upon the clear white path, and in the other narration he said: تركتكم على بيضاء نقية ليلها كنهارها لا يضل عنها إلا هالك I have left you upon a white, pure [path], its night like its day. No one strays from it except one who is destroyed., why did the Muslims divide in the past into theological schools of thought, jurisprudential schools, Sufi paths, and so on? And so that I do not lengthen this or go far from what you intended with your question, I say: if this is what you are aiming at, then I will proceed with what I have. And if you aimed with your question at something else, I hope you will clarify it to me after this speech.

The questioner : I mean what the scholars research in the interpretation of the Qur'an, and what is meant by the statement that a section is not researched.

The Shaykh : I have answered you on this question, may Allah reward you.

The questioner : The second question did not occur to my mind.

The Shaykh : This is the answer, and may Allah reward you with good. I repeat to your ears that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) did not leave a word for anyone regarding these three sections: belief, rulings, and conduct. He did not leave a statement for anyone. But here something occurs to my mind, and I think...
