The Shaykh : As is not hidden from you, this issue has been discussed since ancient times. However, the correct view is that the text is general and the exception is specific. One should not travel to any place for the sake of the virtue of that place except to these three mosques. I recall that I specifically addressed this issue in my book, “Warning the Worshipper from Taking Graves as Mosques,” and I mentioned there the scholars’ opinions on interpreting the hadith.
