Repeating the congregational prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: I prayed the 'Asr prayer, then I sat in the mosque. After that, a man came and asked me to pray with him, even though I had already prayed. Should I pray with him or not? What is the evidence for this? Please inform us. May Allah reward you with the best of rewards.

Answer: There is no harm in doing so, if Allah wills, according to the correct opinion of the scholars. It is permissible to repeat the congregational prayer, even during the times when prayer is prohibited, because this is one of the prayers with a specific cause. Your prayer with the person who came and missed the congregation is for the sake of obtaining the reward of the congregation for him, and obtaining this virtue is permissible, if Allah wills.
Even if this is after the 'Asr prayer. The evidence for this is that when some of the people entered while the people had already prayed, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Who will give charity to this man and pray with himمن يتصدق على هذا فيصلي معه
Sahih Ibn Hibban 10:694
, and by the evidence of those who came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the Musjid al-Khaif and sat in a corner of the mosque without praying with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When he finished the prayer, he called them and asked them, and they told him that they had prayed in their tents. He said to them: Do not do that. He ordered them that when they come and the congregation is being established, they should pray with the people, even if they had already prayed in their tents.
