, and regarding the issue of infallibility?

The Shaykh: There is no problem with this issue. Infallibility pertains to what concerns religion, whereas worldly affairs are explicitly addressed in the hadith...

. He, peace and blessings be upon him, was not a farmer, nor a craftsman, nor a tradesman; rather, he was a shepherd of sheep at the beginning of his prophethood, peace be upon him. In this lies a profound wisdom. Therefore, he, peace be upon him, said
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) stood up amongst the people and then praised and glorified Allah as He deserved and then he mentioned Ad-Dajjal, saying, "I warn you of him, and there was no prophet but warned his followers of him; but I will tell you something about him which no prophet has told his followers: Ad- Dajjal is one-eyed whereas Allah is not." وما من نبي إلا وقد رعى الغنم

because that prepares him to manage people; he is a caretaker. The point is that the hadith itself contains the answer to this question: he, peace and blessings be upon him, is infallible in conveying the Shari'ah. It is impossible for him, peace and blessings be upon him, to err in conveying a ruling of the Shari'ah, on the grounds that he, peace and blessings be upon him, is a human being. As is explicit in the Qur'an
Say, "I am only a man like you قل إنما أنا بشر مثلكم
[Al-Kahf 18:110]
But Allah chose him for His message. Therefore, the completion of His, Exalted is He, speech is:
It is revealed to me يوحى إليّ
Say, "I am only a man like you قل إنما أنا بشر مثلكم
[Al-Kahf 18:110]
. The verse does not end here; its completion is
It is revealed to me يوحى إليّ
. This revelation is what makes him, peace and blessings be upon him, infallible. However, there is a subtle point here that must be pointed out, especially for those among you who are students of knowledge, like me. One must be alert to this subtle point. I said: Allah, Mighty and Majestic, distinguished His Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, by saying:
It is revealed to me يوحى إليّ
I said: This revelation is what makes him infallible from falling into error in matters concerning the Shari'ah.
