What is the ruling on raising the adhan if the mu'adhdhin is not in a state of wudu'?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the ruling on raising the adhan if the mu'adhdhin is not in a state of wudu'?

The Shaykh : The word "What is the ruling on raising the adhan?""raising the adhan"is a strange expression! Because the adhan is not raised; it is the voice that is raised, unless one says that this is an instance of broadening the scope of omission.
In any case, the scholars (may Allah have mercy on them) refer to such matters using the word "adhan," saying for example, "What is the ruling on the adhan when a person is not in a state of wudu'?" The answer to that is: The adhan of the mu'adhdhin who is not in a state of wudu' is valid, but it is better for him to be in a state of wudu' because the adhan is a form of dhikr (remembrance) of Allah, and for all dhikr of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), it is better to be in a state of ritual purity. So if he performs ritual purity, he calls the adhan. In fact, the scholars said: If he calls the adhan while in a state of janabah (major ritual impurity), his adhan is valid, but some of them disliked it and said that the adhan of one in a state of janabah is disliked until he performs ghusl (the full ritual bath). Yes.

The questioner : May Allah bless you.
