A Word of Thanks from the Father of the Fiancée

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner: In truth, O Shaykh, I do not know what to say after our professor, may Allah reward him with good, has spoken to you with these words. I do not know what remains for me to say to express what is in my heart, which my tongue mentions. Thank you for what you have graciously given, and may Allah reward you with good and bless you. We are the fruit, if Allah wills, of the efforts you have planted. So I am speaking a simple word, and I hope you will not hold it against me, since I am speaking in your presence. But as our professor mentioned, we are speaking from this door, so if we err, correct us, and if we are right, we ask Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) that you pray for us and that He accepts our deeds from us.
So I am speaking, my brothers, truly what is in my heart, letting it run on my tongue, hoping that Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) will place it in my scale and in the scale of my ShaykhThe Shaykh : Nasir al-Din al-Albani (may Allah preserve him) and our distinguished professor Abu Malik (may Allah bless him and prolong his life).
So in truth, my brothers, what he mentionedThe Shaykh- may Allah reward him with good - and it is my daughter, when we performed Hajj withThe Shaykh : her mother was pregnant with her, so praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. We were raised, by the grace of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He), upon the efforts of our Shaykh (may Allah reward him with good) in the upbringing and knowledge he directed us toward. And we say: by the grace of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He), we have obtained something great fromThe Shaykh- may Allah reward him with good - and we remind ourselves and my brothers of what he reminded me ofThe Shaykh- may Allah reward him with good - with the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
He who does not thank the people is not thankful to Allah.لا يشكر الله من لا يشكر الناس
Sunan Abi Dawud 4811Sahih (Al-Albani)
The truth is spoken, and the truth is more deserving of being followed, thatThe Shaykh- may Allah reward him with good - this is not from the door of praise and eulogy, but from the door of acknowledging a favor. A person thanks the one who has a favor over him, and the favor is from Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He), and the grace is that He granted us and gave us nearness to our Shaykh (may Allah preserve him) and our professor Abu Malik in the Friday lessons and sermons, and what he speaks to us about on the phone. May Allah reward him with good. And our Shaykh, may Allah bless him, when I asked him, after we had investigated and verified the truth, if Allah wills, in giving my daughter to the brother Ahmad.
I mentioned to the Shaykh (may Allah reward him with good) that I would like to be with him, and the distinguished brothers, and the guardian and father of the brother Ahmad, who is the groom, that his request be with my Shaykh. So I sought permission from the Shaykh for this, and he saidThe Shaykh: I do not like to take the lead in this, but in deference to your desire, I will grant this. So may Allah reward him with good. I mean: this granting is a favor from Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He), by which He granted us and blessed us with our Shaykh (may Allah reward him with good) to favor us with this. And I do not truly want it to be a call to Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) as my Shaykh spoke at the beginning of his speech, meaning: that the marriage contract be according to the Sunnah, with remembrance and admonition, and that we adhere to what we have learned, and as we were taughtThe Shaykh- may Allah preserve him - to learn and to act upon what we learn. So if Allah wills (Blessed and Exalted is He), now we ask Allah to write for us and for our Shaykh, for the present distinguished professors and beloved brothers, that He write for us reward and recompense from Him (Blessed and Exalted is He) for what He has blessed us with in our Shaykh, that he alerts us and reminds us of the contract that is in accordance with the Sunnah, with the simplicity that we are required to have. It is not hidden from you, as our Shaykh Abu Malik (may Allah preserve him) mentioned in some sermons, that it should be within what is affordable. So we, if Allah wills (Blessed and Exalted is He), will implement the request of our Shaykh. And as Professor Abu Malik mentioned that he is a student of our Shaykh, we, the students, will implement, if Allah wills (Blessed and Exalted is He), what the distinguished professors dictate to us (may Allah reward them with much good).
And my brothers, the truth is spoken: if Allah wills, we love for you to be, if Allah wills, upon the methodology so that we benefit, and it becomes, asThe Shaykh : mentioned, a good Sunnah that we begin with. So may Allah reward him with goodThe Shaykh : when he permitted us to be in my home, seeking from Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) that we benefit from his knowledge. And even if he spoke little, as our professor Abu Malik mentioned, we ask Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) that in this short, few words there be much benefit, which we hope for from Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He), of benefit and remembrance. And remembrance benefits the believers. So may Allah reward you with good and bless you. And we ask Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) to bless your effort and your presence. We thank our Shaykh for receiving us, and we thank our professor Abu Malik for accepting the invitation, and Professor Ali and all the brothers, the students of knowledge. And my brother-in-law Abu Hasan, and my brothers, and the uncle, may Allah bless him, Abu Muhammad, who is the father of Ahmad, and Dr. Taysir Shubayb (may Allah preserve him), and all the brothers. The space does not allow me to mention all the names. And Abu Ayyub (may Allah preserve him), and the authorized judge, the good brother Izzat, and our brotherAbu Layla : who took charge of the recording. So may Allah reward you all with good. And I apologize if I am unable to express my thanks to you all, and to the one who performed this duty and helped me to achieve these goals that I have always hoped to reach: a righteous husband for my daughter and my daughters, if Allah wills. Hoping in Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He), and otherwise, the advice and guidance of my Shaykh, which was continuous for me, and for the daughter, and for the mother of Abdullah. So may Allah reward him with much good and bless him.
And we ask Allah, the Great, Lord of the Great Throne, to reward him with the best reward, and to place us and him and our professor and the attendees and the people of the Sunnah and the community and the Salafis, all of them, in the Gardens of Pleasure, and in the middle of Paradise, the highest level of Paradise, and beneath the Throne of the Most Merciful, from which the rivers flow. We ask Allah to preserve us (Blessed and Exalted is He) with His protection and care, and to make permanent for us the blessing of Islam and the blessing of knowledge, which Professor Abu Malik (may Allah preserve him) indicated, that we adopt it and act upon its requirements, and that we maintain the advice of our brother Abu Malik after our professor spoke what he spoke. So may Allah reward you with good and the best reward, if Allah wills. And welcome, and may Allah bless you all. We are the fruit of you. So the brother is strong with his brothers, and do not be an aid to Satan against your brother. So we ask Allah that you advise us if we err, and that we accept from you and you accept from us. And may Allah reward you with good and bless you. And I ask for your excuse where we spoke in the presence of our professor, may Allah reward him with good and preserve himThe Shaykh : Nasir, and in the presence of our professor Abu Malik, and in the presence of the distinguished brothers who are more certain than we are. So we ask Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) to write for us and for you the reward, and may Allah reward you with good and bless you. And welcome, and we are pleased. And I convey my apology to the brothers who did not attend due to the narrowness of the space, but the narrowness of the space is in the walls, not in the chests. But our Shaykh, may Allah reward him with good, said: Bring whoever you wish. But due to the circumstances, as you know, the space does not allow. So convey my apology and thanks to the brothers for whom the space did not allow them to attend. And may Allah bless you, and thank you. And welcome to you all.
And peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.

The Shaykh : And upon you be peace, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
