What is the position of a Muslim if fighting breaks out between two tribes?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Another question: What is the position of a Muslim if fighting breaks out between two tribes or two Muslim groups, and he is unable to keep away from this fitnah (trial, discord or temptation), and nothing remains before him but to be a killer or a killed, knowing that each group believes the truth is on its side?

The Shaykh: ThisThe questioner : This questioner is exaggerating in his description of himself when he accused it of being unable to remain neutral. How is that when the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Be Abdullah the killed one, and do not be Abdullah the killer. كن عبد الله المقتول ولا تكن عبد الله القاتل
Does it not suffice for him to stay in his house? It suffices for him to do so. If someone who wants to kill him enters upon him, he repels him from himself. If he kills him, he is in the Fire, and if he is killed, he is in Paradise. So the whole matter is very clear. And the question is wrong!
