Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He suffers from cracking in the back of his foot due to wudu, so he put on light socks and wiped over them for a day and a night, or less, including the Fajr prayer. He says: After I wake up from sleep, I perform wudu and wipe over them once, knowing that the duration of wiping has not ended. What is your opinion regarding this? May Allah take care of you.

The Shaykh : Our opinion is that this action is permissible and there is nothing wrong with it. A person wears socks either for warmth or for another purpose. As long as this man does not wipe over these socks except within the duration prescribed by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), which is a day and a night for the resident and three days and nights for the traveler, then he has done what is right and there is no blame on him for this. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you. The listener is Hamid Shaker from Harimla. He says.
