Evidence for the Prescribed Wiping over the Leather Socks and Cotton Socks from the Prophetic Sunnah, and an Explanation of the Mass-Transmitted Hadiths in Al-Suyuti’s Poem with Its Commentary

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As for the Sunnah, the hadiths regarding wiping over the leather socks have been mass-transmitted from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Mass-transmitted means: they came from many routes that provide knowledge and certainty that wiping over the leather socks is established.
And in this, the poet says:
" From what was mass-transmitted, a hadith of one who lied *** and one who built a house for Allah and sought reward
And seeing the Intercession and the Pond *** And wiping over two socks, and this is a part "

The two verses again:
" From what was mass-transmitted, a hadith of one who lied *** and one who built a house for Allah and sought reward
And seeing the Intercession and the Pond *** And wiping over two socks, and this is a part "

And a third time so that you repeat the verse to me:
" From what was mass-transmitted, a hadith of one who lied *** and one who built a house for Allah and sought reward
And seeing the Intercession and the Pond *** And wiping over two socks, and this is a part "

Who has memorized it?
The student : " From what is mass-transmitted, a hadith of one who lies *** And one who builds for Allah a house and seeks reward
And seeing the Intercession and the Pond *** And wiping over two socks, and this is a part "
.

The Shaykh : Well done, may Allah reward you,
" A hadith of one who lies " refers to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
He who lies about me deliberately will certainly come to his abode in Hell.
Sunan Abi Dawud 3651Sahih (Al-Albani)
, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
He who lies about me deliberately will certainly come to his abode in Hell.
Sunan Abi Dawud 3651Sahih (Al-Albani)
, this hadith is mass-transmitted from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), meaning: it came from many routes,
" And one who builds for Allah a house and seeks reward " means
If anyone builds a mosque for God, God will build a house for him in paradise.
Mishkat al-Masabih 697
this is also mass-transmitted.
" And seeing " means the seeing of the believers of their Lord on the Day of Resurrection, this is also mass-transmitted, and the Book of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has indicated it, such as His saying:
(22) [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, (23) Looking at their Lord.
[Al-Qiyamah 75:22-23]
Faces
When looking is attributed to the face, it is established that the looking is with the eye, unlike when it is used in a general sense, where it may mean looking with the heart, as in His saying:
Do they not look into the realm of the heavens and the earth and everything that Allah has created
[Al-A'raf 7:185]
Here, is the looking with the eye or with the heart? With the heart, because the eye cannot look into the dominion of the heavens and the earth, but looking can involve thinking, whereas when looking is attributed to the face, here it is established that the looking is with the eye
(22) [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, (23) Looking at their Lord.
[Al-Qiyamah 75:22-23]
How do you write the first "nadhira"?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : The first one? And the second one?
The student : Without an alif.

The Shaykh : Without an alif? Rest! Yes?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : The first one with an alif?
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh : And the second one? Without an alif, this is the answer of the brother!
The student: ...

The Shaykh : What is the difference between them?
The student : The first one is from "nadhara" ...

The Shaykh : Perfect, the correct answer is the opposite of what the first responder said. The first "nadhira" is with a "dha" without an alif, and the second is with a "za" with an alif, because the first is from "nadhara" which is beauty and loveliness, and the second is from "nazar" with the eye, which is with a "za".
Now, as for the Sunnah, the hadiths have been mass-transmitted from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that the believers will see their Lord, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
You will see your Lord as you see the full moon on the night of the full moon, and you will not be hindered in seeing Him. So if you can, do not be prevented from the prayer before the rising of the sun - which is the Fajr prayer - and the prayer before its setting - which is the Asr prayer - then do so
.
" Intercession " What is intercession? The intercession of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The hadiths regarding it have been mass-transmitted from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
And intercession is of two types: general and specific. The specific is the intercession of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for the people of the standing place. The people of the standing place on the Day of Resurrection will be afflicted with anxiety and distress that they cannot bear, so they will say, "Intercede for us with Allah to relieve us from this standing place." They will come to Adam, then Noah, then Abraham, then Moses, then Jesus, until it reaches the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He will stand and intercede with Allah by the permission of Allah, and Allah will judge between the servants.
And as for the general one, which is for the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and others, it is for those who enter the Fire to be brought out of it, and for those who deserve the Fire to not enter it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and others from the prophets, the angels, and the righteous of mankind will intercede, and all of this is by the permission of Allah
Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission?
[Al-Baqarah 2:255]
.
And the Pond means the Pond of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), which is the Pond that is visited on the plains of the Day of Resurrection. Its water is whiter than milk, sweeter than honey, and more fragrant than musk. Whoever drinks a sip from it will never be thirsty again. Whoever drinks one sip from this Pond will never be thirsty after it. We ask Allah to make us and you among those who visit it and drink from it.
" And wiping over two socks " And this is the evidence. The hadiths have been mass-transmitted from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding wiping over the leather socks, both in words and deeds.
Among them is what Muslim narrated from Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) who said:
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made one day and one night for the resident and three days with their nights for the traveler
meaning: regarding wiping over the leather socks. And the people of the Sunan also narrated from Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: " If religion were by opinion, the bottom of the sock would be more deserving of wiping than the top, and I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wiping the top of the sock ", and the hadiths in this matter are many.
