Continuation of the discourse on the exhortation to reflect upon the Qur'an
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : I say: May Allah reward you. I exhort myself and you to reflect upon the speech of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and understand its meaning, for in it is all good, the happiness of this world and the Hereafter, diverse knowledge, and guidance, as Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said: [Taha 20:123-125] He is not objecting to Allah, but rather asking what is the reason? He said: [Taha 20:126] Now, to the questions, starting with the most important.
The questioner : In the name of Allah, praise is to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the best of Allah's creation.
The Shaykh : And among the conditions for the question reader in my presence are three conditions: Are you committed to them, if Allah wills? Yes.
The first is freedom from mispronunciation, the second is the quality of the recitation, and the third is that he does not present questions that are not appropriate for the occasion, meaning that he selects questions suitable for the occasion. Have you committed to this? If Allah wills, I rely on Allah.
And if there should come to you guidance from Me - then whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray [in the world] nor suffer [in the Hereafter]. (124) And whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a depressed life, and We will gather him on the Day of Resurrection blind." (125) He will say, "My Lord, why have you raised me blind while I was [once] seeing?"
Thus did Our signs come to you, and you forgot them; and thus will you this Day be forgotten."
