The questioner : He says:The questioner : The evidence for sending blessings upon the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) after the adhan is as I did previously.

The Shaykh : Yes, “O Allah, Lord of this perfect call, O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad.” This is because the Messenger mentioned this and said:
Then send blessings upon me ثم صلوا عليّ
This is a statement I have forgotten, and it grants him intercession. That is, whoever says:
Just as he said, “Then, if you send blessings upon me, my intercession will be permissible for you” مثل ما يقول ثم صلى عليه حلت له شفاعتي
then you send blessings upon him and say, “O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and this established prayer, grant Muhammad the intercession and the high rank, and raise him to the praiseworthy position You have promised him, for You do not break Your promise.”

The questioner : The addition, O Shaykh, is “You do not break Your promise.”

The Shaykh : This addition is correct. Our Shaykh, Abdul Aziz ibn Baz, authenticated it. It is also an addition from a trustworthy and acceptable narrator, and it is also part of the description of the supplication of the believers who
Our Lord, and grant us what You promised us through Your messengers and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, You do not fail in [Your] promise." ربنا وآتنا ما وعدتنا على رسلك ولا تخزنا يوم القيامة إنك لا تخلف الميعاد
