What are the musical instruments that are permissible to use in women's wedding celebrations?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A questioner says: O Shaykh, what are the musical instruments that are permissible to use in women's wedding celebrations?

The Shaykh : What is established in the Sunnah is the duff. The duff is an instrument with one face; if it has two faces, it is a drum. As for the 'ud, the rabab, the rababah, the violin, and the like, these are not permissible, because the original ruling regarding musical instruments is prohibition, as indicated by the hadith of Abu Malik al-Ash'ari, which al-Bukhari narrated in his *Sahih*:
There will certainly be people from my Ummah who will consider lawful what is forbidden, silk, intoxicants, and musical instruments. ليكونن أقواما من أمتي يستحلون الحر والحرير والخمر والمعازف
Then the duff was excepted in the case of marriage, so one should restrict oneself to what the text has brought, and the rest is forbidden. But the question remains: should I attend if I am invited to a wedding celebration where these instruments are present? We say: if you are able to make a change, it is obligatory for you to attend for two reasons: responding to the invitation, and changing the evil. But if you are unable to do so, it is not permissible for you to attend, even if it is your closest relative, because Allah the Exalted said:
And it has already come down to you in the Book that when you hear the verses of Allah [recited], they are denied [by them] and ridiculed; so do not sit with them until they enter into another conversation. Indeed, you would وقد نزل عليكم في الكتاب أن إذا سمعتم آيات الله يكفر بها ويستهزئ بها فلا تقعدوا معهم حتى يخوضوا في حديث غيره إنكم إذا

meaning, if you were to sit with them
