What is the ruling on one who prays Fajr late every day without intention?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you. The questioner asks: What is the ruling on one who prays Fajr after its time every day, without intending to do so?

The Shaykh : Without intending to do so, and what prevents him? What is it that prevents him? This person asks, saying that a man does not pray Fajr until after the time has passed, every day, without intending to do so. We say: What is it that prevents him? Sleep. What is the cure for this sleep? It has two cures: a prior cure and a subsequent cure.
As for the prior cure: reduce staying up late. Reduce staying up late. For this reason, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) disliked conversation after 'Isha' so that a person would not sleep through the tahajjud or the Fajr prayer. We say: instead of staying up until it is twelve o'clock, sleep when it is ten o'clock. How many hours do you get? Two hours. And I think some people stay up until after twelve o'clock. Do you know this? What is the reason? Sleep early so that you wake up early. This is the prior cure.
The subsequent cure: set an alarm clock. If your sleep is heavy, buy a clock with a loud sound. If you are afraid that if you place it by your pillow and hear it, you will turn it off while between sleep and wakefulness, then move it away from you. And if you are afraid that if you move it away, you will not hear its sound, then put it in a tin can so that the sound is strong. Every person, if he is diligent, can achieve his goal, but most people are negligent. We ask Allah for guidance for us and for them. But I inform you, may Allah bless you, that any person who delays the prayer from its time without a valid religious excuse, his prayer is invalid, even if he prays it a thousand times, it is rejected from him. This is due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
He who did any act for which there is no sanction from our behalf, that is to be rejected. من عمل عملاً ليس عليه أمرنا فهو رد
Sahih Muslim 1718b

The student: ... .

The Shaykh : The excuses, may Allah bless you, are that a person sleeps and does not find anyone to wake him, due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Whoever sleeps through a prayer or forgets it, let him pray it when he remembers it. من نام عن صلاةٍ أو نسيها، فليصلها إذا ذكرها
This is an excuse. Likewise, if a person forgets, for example, one who is prone to forgetfulness, or if he is preoccupied with work that occupies his mind and he forgets, this is also an excuse. Or if a person’s time passes quickly and he does not realize until the time has passed, this is an excuse. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : It remains to be said: Is it an excuse if a person is sick and his clothes are stained with impurity, and he is unable to perform wudu' or tayammum? Is it an excuse to delay it from its time?
The answer: No. We say: Pray according to your ability, due to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
So fear Allah as much as you are able فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[At-Taghabun 64:16]
