I once heard from a religious education teacher that if a person eats a single bite of forbidden food, Allah will not answer his supplication for forty days. Is this correct?

The questioner : I once heard from a religious education teacher that if a person eats a single bite of forbidden food, Allah will not answer his supplication for forty days. Is this correct, and I hope you will inform me, may Allah reward you?
The Shaykh : I do not know if this hadith is authentic, but it has a basis. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, Allah is Good and accepts only that which is good. And Allah commanded the believers with what He commanded the messengers, saying: O you who believe, eat from the good things We have provided for you and be grateful to Allah if it is Him you worship. And He said: O messengers, eat from the good things and do righteous deeds. Indeed, I am Knowing of what you do. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned a man who travels a long distance, disheveled and covered in dust, stretching his hands to the sky: O my Lord, O my Lord. Yet his food is forbidden, his clothing is forbidden, and he is nourished with what is forbidden. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: How will that be answered? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made it clear that if a person’s food is forbidden, his clothing is forbidden, and his nourishment is forbidden, it is likely that Allah will not answer his supplication. This indicates that one must be cautious about eating forbidden food and being nourished by it, and wearing it, because it is likely that the answering of supplication will be prevented because of it.
