Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : We begin the lesson.
The reader: Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.

The Shaykh : O Allah, send blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah.
The reader: The author (may Allah have mercy on him) said in his book Mishkat al-Masabih: The chapter on the signs preceding the Hour and the mention of the Dajjal. The first section is from Hudhayfah ibn Asid al-Ghifari, who said:
Hudhaifa b. Asid al-Ghifari told that the Prophet once came on them when they were discussing and asked the subject of their discussion. On being told that they were discussing the last hour he said, "It will not come till you have seen ten signs before it." He then mentioned the smoke,[1] the dajjal, the beast,[2] the rising of the sun in its place of setting, the descent of Jesus, son of Mary, Gog and, Magog,[3] three subsidences, one in the East, one in the West, and one in Arabia
Mishkat al-Masabih 5464

The Shaykh : with the raising, a sinking
The reader:
A sinking in the east, a sinking in the west, and a sinking in the Arabian Peninsula, and the last of that is a fire that emerges from Yemen driving people to their gathering place. -And in a narration- a fire that emerges from the bottom of Aden driving people to the gathering place. -And in a narration regarding the tenth- and a wind that casts people into the sea.
Narrated by Muslim.

The Shaykh : Continue.
The reader: And from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Hasten to do good deeds before six things happen: the smoke, the dajjal, the beast of the earth, the rising of the sun in its place of setting, the trial which will affect all mankind[*], and the one which applies more particularly to one of you.
Mishkat al-Masabih 5465
Narrated by Muslim.
And from Abdullah ibn Amr, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:
The first sign (out of the signs of the appearance of the Dajjal) would be the appearance of the sun from the west, the appearance of the beast before the people in the forenoon and which of the two happens first, the second one would follow immediately after that.
Sahih Muslim 2941a
Narrated by Muslim.
And from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When three things appear faith will not benefit one who has not previously believed or has derived no good from his faith: the rising of the sun in its place of setting, the Dajjal, and the beast of the earth.
Sahih Muslim 158
Narrated by Muslim.
And from Abu Dharr, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said when the sun set: Where does it go? I said: Allah and His Messenger know best...

The Shaykh : Did he say "Did he say"? And from Abu Dharr.
The reader: And from Abu Dharr, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said when the sun set: Where does it go? I said

The Shaykh : Do you know where it goes?
Do you know where it goes? I said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He said: It goes until it prostrates beneath the Throne, and it asks for permission, and permission is granted to it. It will soon prostrate and its prostration will not be accepted, and it will ask for permission and it will not be granted to it, and it will be said to it: Return from where you came. So it will rise from the west. That is the saying of Allah the Exalted: "And the sun runs to its resting place." He said: Its resting place is beneath the Throne. Agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
And from Imran ibn Husayn, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:
Between time of the creation of Adam and the Resurrection Day, there is nothing greater than the mischief of Dajjal (the Antichrist).
Riyad as-Salihin 1814

The Shaykh : greater
The reader:
greater than the Dajjal
Narrated by Muslim.
And from Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
God is not hidden from you, God most high is not one-eyed, but the antichrist is blind in the right eye, his eye looking like a floating grape.
Mishkat al-Masabih 5470
Agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
And from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
There is no prophet who has not warned his people about the one-eyed liar. I tell you that he is one-eyed, but your Lord is not one-eyed. On his forehead are the letters k, f, r.
Mishkat al-Masabih 5471
Agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim.

The Shaykh : disbelieved.
The reader:
Disbelief
Agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim. And from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Shall I not tell you about the Dajjal a story of which no prophet told his nation?
Sahih al-Bukhari 3338

The Shaykh : This hadith is long.
The reader: Yes, indeed.

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. We mentioned previously the signs of the Hour and clarified that they are divided into what?
The student: Three categories: a category that has passed, and a category that is still coming...

The Shaykh : The major signs, yes.
