A married woman who dislikes her husband, while he loves her, is pregnant and staying with her family, and she dislikes seeing her husband; it is said there is a writer who writes a document called (al-'utuf)

The questioner : She says that she has a married daughter, and this daughter dislikes her husband, while her husband loves her. She is currently pregnant and staying with her family, and she dislikes seeing this husband. It is said that there is a writer who writes a document called al-'utuf, meaning he makes the wife love her husband. Is this action permissible or not?

The Shaykh : It is not permissible for a woman to do an action that would cause her husband to love her, and it is not permissible for a husband to do an action that would cause his wife to love him, because this is a type of sorcery.
However, the way to achieve this is to constantly ask Allah (Mighty and Majestic) to make her husband dear to her and to reconcile between them. She should recite from the Qur'an what helps her transition from hatred to love, and she should seek the help of people of goodness and righteousness to recite for her to transform her hatred into love. This is what I see as obligatory for her. We ask Allah the Exalted to reconcile between her and her husband, to bless them and their union, and to bring them together in goodness.
