A man performed tawaf while being carried and slept during his tawaf; what is the ruling on that tawaf?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you. The questioner says: A man performed tawaf while being carried and slept during his tawaf; what is the ruling on that tawaf?

The Shaykh : Did you hear him just now? He says he performed tawaf while being carried, and it seems he rested from the carrying and then slept. What is the ruling? It appears that his tawaf is valid, except according to the opinion of those who say that wudu is obligatory in tawaf. In that case, his tawaf is not valid, because if he sleeps deeply, it breaks his wudu, and thus his tawaf becomes defective.
But if he slept during sa'y, and this is what often happens, where he is on a camel and they cover him so he can rest and sleep, you find that from the moment he started from al-Safa until the end of al-Marwah, he had been sleeping. It also appears that his sa'y is valid, his sa'y is valid, because sleep is not like madness which invalidates worship, nor is it like fainting. The sleeper is accountable, and for this reason the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever sleeps through a prayer or forgets it, let him pray it when he remembers it. من نام عن صلاة أو نسيها فليصلها إذا ذكرها
So it appears that it suffices if he slept after he had intended the sa'y, for example, or after he had intended the tawaf. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you. The questioner says.

The Shaykh : And here I ask: If a person sleeps while fasting, from before the Fajr prayer until the setting of the sun, is his fast valid or not valid?

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Yes, it is valid. Or is it not valid?

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : All right, rest. It is valid, even though he is sleeping all day. And I say this is a hypothetical case; otherwise, it is not permissible for a person to leave the Fajr, Zuhr, and 'Asr prayers. That is forbidden. But perhaps he is alone in his house and has no one to wake him, and his sleep was deep so he did not wake up to the alarm. In that case, we say that his fast is valid, because the sleeper is in the same legal status as the awake person. Yes.
