What is the ruling on one who goes to sorcerers for the purpose of treatment or breaking a spell?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you, O Shaykh. What about one who goes to sorcerers for the purpose of treatment or breaking a spell?

The Shaykh : The one who goes to sorcerers is sinful, because it is narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
He is not one of us who performs sorcery or has sorcery performed for him. ليس منا من سحر أو سُحِر له
.
However, some scholars from the Salaf and the Khalaf mentioned that if one is in dire necessity, there is nothing wrong with going to the sorcerer to have the spell broken, on the condition that this sorcerer does not call upon anyone besides Allah, meaning he is not one who associates partners with Allah, for the one who associates partners with Allah is ritually impure and there is no good in him.

The questioner : Well, O Shaykh, which hadith applies to him:
Whoever goes to a sorcerer or a diviner. من أتى ساحرا أو عرافا
Sunan al-Bayhaqi 15:741
?

The Shaykh : Yes, but the scholars say: those who permitted this in cases of dire necessity said: Allah the Exalted said:
while He has explained in detail to you what He has forbidden you, excepting that to which you are compelled وَقَدْ فَصَّلَ لَكُمْ مَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِلاَّ مَا اضْطُرِرْتُمْ إِلَيْهِ
[Al-An'am 6:119]
But do you know what dire necessity is? Dire necessity is when one fears harm from a continuous illness or death, and it cannot be treated by the Qur'an and permissible supplications. Yes.
I say: some scholars prohibited that, saying: it is not permissible to go to the sorcerer even if one dies, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the breaking of spells, and he said:
It is from the work of Satan هي من عمل الشيطان
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 13:100
Yes.
