A woman whose time for the Zuhr prayer began, and when she was about to pray she started menstruating; does she pray Zuhr when she becomes pure or not?

The questioner : May Allah reward you, our Shaykh. A woman’s time for the Zuhr prayer began, and she was occupied with some of her affairs. Before the time ended, and when she was about to pray, she started menstruating. Does she pray it when she becomes pure?

The Shaykh : Yes, the correct view is that if a woman becomes pure and has caught the amount of one rak'ah of the time, it is obligatory for her to make up the prayer. This is based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): And this woman caught one rak'ah of her time, so it is obligatory for her to make up the prayer.
