There is no harm in delaying the start of fasting them from the second day of Shawwal, and there is no harm in a person fasting them separately until the end of the month, due to the generality of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sunan Abi Dawud 2433Sahih (Al-Albani) The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not stipulate that they be consecutive, nor that they be immediately after Ramadan.
