The reciter: Zayd ibn Yahya narrated to us, saying: Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated to us, saying: Hisham narrated to us from his father from Aisha, who said: Sahih al-Bukhari 463.
The Shaykh : (may Allah be pleased with him), Sa'd ibn Mu'adh was an ally of the Banu Qaynuqa and he is the better of the two Sa'ds, and the second is Sa'd ibn Ubadah. Sa'd ibn Ubadah was the leader of the Khazraj, and Sa'd ibn Mu'adh was the leader of the Aws. These are the two well-known tribes from which the Ansar (may Allah be pleased with them) are composed. So Allah made his eye content with the greatest contentment, for their judgment was under his command and he was the judge among them. When he judged between them and returned to the mosque, blood burst forth from his wound, which was a wound from the Day of the Trench, and he died. Allah did not cause him to die until He had made his eye content with his allies, the Banu Qaynuqa. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed and with this, Hassan ibn Thabit said: "And the Throne of Allah did not tremble for the death of anyone we heard of except for Sa'd, the father of 'Amr".
On the day of Al-Khandaq (battle of the Trench' the medial arm vein of Sa`d bin Mu`ad [??] was injured and the Prophet (ﷺ) pitched a tent in the mosque to look after him. There was another tent for Banu Ghaffar in the mosque and the blood started flowing from Sa`d's tent to the tent of Bani Ghaffar. They shouted, "O occupants of the tent! What is coming from you to us?" They found that Sa`d' wound was bleeding profusely and Sa`d died in his tent.
