Explanation of the Book of Prayer-14

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Good, he said: "And from 'Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), she said:
On the day of al-Khandaq (battle of the Trench), Sa'd was injured and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) pitched a tent for him in the mosque to visit him from a close distance. أصيب سعد يوم الخندق فضرب عليه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم خيمة في المسجد ليعوده من قريب.
Bulugh al-Maram 2:131
Agreed upon."

Sa'd was struck أصيب سعد
It is Sa'd ibn Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him), the master of the Aws, the best of them, and the most noble of them.
And her saying:
on the Day of the Trench يوم الخندق
means in the Battle of the Trench, and that is because an arrow struck him in his akhl, the akhl being the lower part of the thumb. It is common for blood to flow from it and for a person to die, but he (may Allah be pleased with him) called upon Allah (Mighty and Majestic) not to let him die until He would satisfy his eyes by the Banu Qaynuqa (may Allah be pleased with them), for they were his allies. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set up a tent for him in the mosque. Which mosque?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : A tent; a tent is a type of shelter in which a person is alone. The mosque referred to is the mosque of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). Is the "in" in her saying "in the mosque" for mental recollection or for remembrance?
The student: Mental recollection.

The Shaykh : Yes?
The student: Mental recollection.

The Shaykh : Or for presence?
The student: Mental recollection.

The Shaykh : Mental recollection, because the types of recollection are three: mental, which is what is understood by the mind; remembrance, which is what has been mentioned previously; and presence, which is what is expressed regarding the present time.
