The questioner : The human being in the stages of the drop, the clot, and the lump moves in his mother's womb, and the soul has not yet entered him. Does the entry of the soul afterwards represent intellect and thought? This is A.
B: When the soul is taken from him at the end of his life, he dies, knowing that he was alive in the first four months of his life before the soul entered him. How do you explain that, O honorable Shaykh?
The Shaykh : As for the statementThe questioner : He moves before the soul is breathed into him, so this is not the movement of life, but rather the movement of wind. Perhaps that is so that his place in the womb expands. I have no medical knowledge in this matter, nor any religious knowledge. I say: if it is established, as the questioner said, that he moves before the four months, then this is its explanation, and Allah knows best.
As for after the soul is breathed into him, which is after four months have passed for him, he moves because he has become a living human being. The soul is not breathed into him before four months, based on the hadith of Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) told us, and he is the truthful and the veracious, and he said:.
From the time four months have passed for him in his mother's womb, the soul is breathed into him, until it exits from him when he transitions from this world to the Hereafter.
And it is not possible for us to know the nature of the soul, because we do not know the nature of a thing except by observing it, observing its like, or by truthful information about it. And we have not obtained any of these three things regarding the soul. For this reason, Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) said:[Al-Isra 17:85] But it is established in the authentic hadith that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: meaning when his soul is taken that is, the soul is seen exiting his body, but it is not possible to grasp its nature and its reality as it is. Even if it were grasped in this state, we would have no way of reaching knowledge of it. Yes.
The questioner : May Allah bless you. This questioner is Muhammad 'Abd al-Muhsin, an Egyptian resident in the Kingdom. He says, O honorable Shaykh.

Indeed, one of you is gathered in creation in his mother's womb for forty days, then he becomes a clot for the same duration, then he becomes a lump for the same duration, then an angel is sent to him and breathes into him the soul, and he is commanded with four words: to write his provision, his lifespan, his deeds, and whether he will be wretched or happy.
