The Shaykh : He says: "Indeed, it has reached us from one of their great ones *** and he is the lowly one, the statement of disbelief"
This is a man from the ta'til (denial of the divine attributes) who denies the attributes. He says: If it were possible for me to scrape the saying of Allah the Exalted in the Qur'an I would do it. I seek refuge in Allah! Why? Because he does not want to hear anyone say that Allah rose above the Throne, but the Muslims recite it every day and night. He said: I wish that I could be able to scrape His saying, the Exalted, We ask Allah for safety. But is this possible? No, and for this reason he said:
"If it were possible for me, and it is not possible *** to scrape from this Uthmanic mushaf
the mention of the Lord's rising above the Throne *** but that is impossible for a human being" The author said:
"And by Allah, were it not for the awe of Islam *** and the Qur'an, the princes, and the sultan
they would have brought every calamity and crushed *** Islam upon the foundations of its pillars"
Allah is the Greatest! And the author (may Allah have mercy on him) knows this about them, because he was afflicted in his time and in the era of his Shaykh Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) with them, and people were afflicted before that. What did these ta'til (denial of the divine attributes) do to the Imams? They accused them to the rulers until they imprisoned them, beat them, and killed them. If these people were able to destroy all of Islam, they would have done it, but they fear the awe of the princes and the sultan and Islam among the common people. They fear, and otherwise they would have done it. Yes, yes.
