Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The illiterate person who cannot read or write: is it permissible for him to recite one surah after al-Fatihah in all the rak'ahs?

The Shaykh : Yes, if a person does not know how to recite from the Book of Allah except one surah, there is no blame on him for repeating it in all the prayers after al-Fatihah, due to the generality of the saying of Allah the Exalted:
so recite what is easy [for you] of the Qur'an فَاقْرَءُوا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنَ الْقُرْءانِ
[Al-Muzzammil 73:20]
and the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to the man:
recite whatever you conveniently can from the Qur'an اقرأ ما تيسّر معك من القرءان
Sahih Muslim 397a
. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you. He says in his last questions.
