What is the ruling on one who says in his adhan, "Hayya 'ala khayr al-'amal"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah bless you, O Shaykh. We hear on some radio stations in some countries that the adhan is recited with the phrase, "The prayer is better than work."

The Shaykh : "The prayer is better than work."

The questioner : "Hayya 'ala khayr al-'amal." This phrase, meaning, was not mentioned from the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them). So, is this phrase, meaning, adding it...?

The Shaykh : It is narrated from Ibn 'Umar with a weak chain, and perhaps he (may Allah be pleased with him), if it is authentic, intended that when he said "Hayya 'ala al-salah," he clarified that the prayer is the best of deeds, as in the hadith of Jabir, "The prayer is the best of what is established." However, the general practice of the Muslims is that they say "Hayya 'ala al-salah."
