Explanation of the Book of the Adhan-06a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Reciter: Abu Ma'mar narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Warith narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Aziz narrated to us from Anas, who said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not come out for three days. Then the prayer was established, and Abu Bakr went to step forward to lead it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) signaled to him to raise the curtain. When the face of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) became clear to us, we did not see a sight more delightful to us than the face of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when it became clear to us. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gestured with his hand to Abu Bakr to step forward, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) lowered the curtain. He was not able to lead the prayer until he died.

The Shaykh : Explanation of the two hadiths.
The student: The previous phrase was mentioned in the previous hadith.

The Shaykh : Did you mention it with the explanation?
The student: With the explanation.

The Shaykh : And did you speak about it?
The student: Yes, he spoke about it. He said: Malik added in his narration, which we mentioned, that Hafsah said to A'ishah, "I was not going to get any good from you." Al-Isma'ili has the same in the hadith of this chapter. Hafsah only said that because her words coincided with the third instance of the return [to the husband]. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not take back a wife after three [divorces]. When he indicated his disapproval of her by mentioning that they were the companions of Joseph, Hafsah felt resentment about it because A'ishah was the one who had ordered her to do so. Perhaps she also remembered what happened between them in the story of the spoons, as will come in its place.

The Shaykh : The spoons, which are in the chapter on prohibition, yes.
