Explanation of the Book of Friday Prayer and the Two Festivals-09a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Muhammad narrated to us, Abu Dhamrah, Anas ibn Iyad, narrated to us, Shurayk ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Numayr:
That he heard Anas ibn Malik mention that a man entered on Friday from a gate that was opposite the pulpit, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was standing delivering the sermon, so he stood facing the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, the livestock have perished and the paths have been cut off, so call upon Allah to send us relief? He said: So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his hands, and said: O Allah, rain upon us, O Allah, rain upon us, O Allah, rain upon us. He said: Anas said: By Allah, we saw no cloud in the sky, nor a wisp, nor anything, and there was no house or dwelling between us and Sulayl.
.

The Shaykh : Your saying "and no wisp" is in the accusative case?
The Reciter: Yes.

The Shaykh : Why, when the one before it is in the genitive case? Because the one before it contains the extra preposition "min," so the genitive follows the apparent wording of the speech. For this reason, we say: "min" is an extra preposition, and "sahab" (cloud) is the object of "nara" (we see), in the accusative case with a hidden fathah at its end, the appearance of which was prevented by the occupation of the position by the movement of the extra preposition.
In one version, it is in the genitive case: "and no wisp."
And "sahab" is the abundant cloud, and "quza'ah" is a piece of cloud.
The reciter: He said:
and there were no houses or buildings between us and (the mountain of ) Sal'.

The Shaykh : Sulayl is a well-known mountain in Medina, and it was mentioned because the clouds come from its direction.
The reciter: He said
Then a cloud the size of a shield rose from behind him, and when it reached the middle of the sky, it spread out, and then it rained. He said: By Allah, we did not see the sun for six days. Then a man entered from that same gate on the following Friday, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was standing delivering the sermon, so he stood facing him and said: O Messenger of Allah, the wealth has perished and the paths have been cut off, so call upon Allah to hold it back. He said: So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his hands and then said: O Allah, around us and not upon us, O Allah, upon the hills, the mountains, the scrublands, the valleys, and the places where trees grow. He said: So it stopped, and we went out walking in the sun. Shurayk said: So I asked Anas ibn Malik, was it the first man? He said: I do not know.
