Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then Allah the Exalted affirmed His blessings upon His Messenger, so that one might infer from what has been granted what has not yet been granted.
- Pay attention, my brother -.
After that, Allah gave thanks for His blessings upon His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) so that one might infer from what has been granted what? what has not yet been granted. He said:
Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? ألم يجدك يتيما فآوى
[Ad-Duhaa 93:6]
Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? ألم يجدك يتيما فآوى
[Ad-Duhaa 93:6]
What is an orphan? One whose father died before he reached maturity. Did the father of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) die before he reached maturity? Yes, his father died before he reached maturity. His father died while he was a fetus in his mother's womb.
And give you refuge? فآوى
He sheltered you by what Allah facilitated for him from those who show tenderness and compassion and take charge of his affairs. Allah facilitated for him his grandfather. Allah facilitated for him his grandfather. What is his name? And what is the name of the Prophet's grandfather? Stand up, stand up.
The student: 'Abd al-Muttalib.

The Shaykh : 'Abd al-Muttalib, are you sure, or Abu Talib?
The student: Abu Talib.

The Shaykh : Abu Talib, is that right, or al-'Abbas?
The student: 'Abd al-Muttalib.

The Shaykh : Are you sure? Okay, rest. Do you agree with this? Yes. Allah facilitated for him his grandfather 'Abd al-Muttalib, who took him in and provided the best care. Then 'Abd al-Muttalib passed away, so Allah facilitated for him his uncle Abu Talib, who took him in and provided the best care, looked after him, and defended him. He declared that he was truthful. He declared that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) was truthful. He has poetry regarding this. Who remembers the poetry that Abu Talib recited in affirming the truthfulness of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)? O people, you must know the biography of the Messenger (may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him), because knowing the biography of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) increases faith and increases the love of Allah and His Messenger, and it gives a person a good example. How were the character and conduct of the Prophet (may the prayers and peace of Allah be upon him) in war and peace, in ease and hardship? We must know the biography. May Allah reward you. Knowing the biography of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is among the most important things. Okay.
What are the poems in which Abu Talib acknowledged the truthfulness of the Messenger (may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him)? Give us one, just one example? One, two, three.
I believe in Allah. Please proceed.
The student: And they have certainly known.

The Shaykh : That.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : Well done. This is from Abu Talib's acknowledgment that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) was truthful.
"And they have certainly known - says Abu Talib - that the religion of Muhammad ** is the best of the terrestrial religions in religion." So he acknowledged that it is a religion and acknowledged that it is among the best of religions.
"Were it not for the blame or fear of insult ** I would have found me lenient and clear regarding that."
But arrogance prevented him, may Allah protect us from that.
