A word about the Night of Decree and an explanation of its virtue.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.
As for what follows:
So on this night, the night of Saturday, the twentieth of the blessed month of Ramadan in the year 1421, the eighth meeting begins between His Eminence Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymeen and his Muslim brothers in the Sacred Mosque, and those who listen to him elsewhere. The location for receiving questions to be presented to His Eminence the Shaykh will be at the Gate of 'Umrah of the Sacred Mosque, on the second floor.
And now, let us leave the stage to His Eminence the Shaykh to speak on what is facilitated and to answer the questions.

The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets and the Imam of the righteous, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.
As for what follows: The night of Saturday, the twentieth of Ramadan, and we should prepare for what we are about to receive, which is standing in prayer during the last ten nights and striving for them. For in these ten nights there is a blessed night, which is the Night of Decree, about which Allah the Exalted has spoken in His Book, and He said, Mighty and Majestic:
(1) Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree. (2) And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? (3) The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. (4) The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. (5) Peace it is until the emergence of dawn. إنا أنزلناه في ليلة القدر وما أدراك ما ليلة القدر ليلة القدر خير من ألف شهر تنزل الملائكة والروح فيها بإذن ربهم من كل أمر سلام هي حتى مطلع الفجر
[Al-Qadr 97:1-5]
.
In this night, what will happen in that year is written, as He the Exalted said:
(4) On that night is made distinct every precise matter - (5) [Every] matter [proceeding] from Us. Indeed, We were to send [a messenger] يفرق فيها من كل أمر حكيم أمرا من عندنا إنا كنا مرسلين
[Ad-Dukhan 44:4-5]
.
In this night, the angels descend in groups after groups. The angels are a hidden realm, and no one knows their number or their description except Allah, Mighty and Majestic, or those whom Allah has informed about it.
So strive, my brother, strive for this night, seek help from Allah, Mighty and Majestic, and take from it a blessed share that will benefit you, benefit your family, and benefit everyone for whom you make supplication.
