A word from the Shaykh about the Night of Decree.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : On the morning of the first day of the last ten days of Ramadan, on that Sunday, in that gathering where we meet with our brothers who came to Makkah to perform the lesser pilgrimage and those who were residing there, and on the occasion of the opening of the last ten days, I urge myself and you to seize these ten days, indeed these ten nights, in the obedience of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), turning to Him, returning to Him, and being sincere in your deeds for Him, and in truly following the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). For
Whoever stands in prayer on the Night of Decree with faith and seeking reward, Allah will forgive him what has passed of his sins. من قام ليلة القدر إيماناً واحتساباً غفر الله له ما تقدم من ذنبه
Sahih Ibn Hibban 10:853
, and Allah has clarified in His Book that it is better than a thousand months, and He described it as blessed. So the wise one is the one who seizes this night by standing in prayer and drawing near to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) so that he may attain its reward.
