That what happened in the Gulf trial is for a profound wisdom.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As for the second point: Did what happened occur for a wisdom, or did it happen by chance, or did it happen in vain and foolishness? In other words, is it for a profound wisdom decreed by Allah (Mighty and Majestic), or did it happen just by chance without any wisdom, or is what happened intended to harm the creation?
Answer: What happened is, without a doubt, issued from the wisdom of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). For this reason, you find that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) associates the rulings of the Shari'ah with wisdom. Allah the Exalted said:
Your parents or your children - you know not which of them are nearest to you in benefit. [These shares are] an obligation [imposed] by Allah. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise. آباؤكم وأبناؤكم لا تدرون أيهم أقرب لكم نفعا فريضة من الله إن الله كان عليما حكيما
[An-Nisa 4:11]
.
And when He mentioned the rulings regarding the marriage of disbelievers to believing women, or the reverse, He said:
That is the judgement of Allah; He judges between you. And Allah is Knowing and Wise. ذلك حكم الله يحكم بينكم والله عليم حكيم
[Al-Mumtahanah 60:10]
.
Everything that Allah decrees, everything that Allah legislates, is for a wisdom. But we, due to our shortcoming or our negligence, may be ignorant of this wisdom. Either our minds are incapable of grasping this wisdom, or we are negligent in seeking the wisdom. So it may not become clear to us, and perhaps it will become clear to us later. The important thing is that it is obligatory for us, O brothers, to know with certainty that what happened is what? It is for a wisdom, without a doubt, a profound wisdom
Fighting has been enjoined upon you while it is hateful to you. But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not. وعسى أن تكرهوا شيئا وهو خير لكم والله يعلم وأنتم لا تعلمون
[Al-Baqarah 2:216]
. But we must be patient until we look at the results, and we must not rush.
