Explaining the importance of supplication and the times when supplication is answered, with a warning against the stratagems of the enemies of the Muslims, namely the hypocrites and the disbelievers

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : O believing brothers, supplicating to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is required of us at every hour and every moment, especially in the last part of the night, especially in prostration, and especially between the adhan and the iqamah. For the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
As for prostration, increase in supplication, for it is likely that it will be answered for you
. And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The nearest a servant come to his Lord is when he is prostrating himself
Sunan Abi Dawud 875Sahih (Al-Albani)
. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Our lord gets down every night to the heaven of this world when a third night remains and says: (Is there anyone) who prays to Me so that I may accept his prayer? (Is there anyone) who asks of Me so that I may give him? (Is there anyone) who asks for my forgiveness so that I may forgive him?
Sunan Abi Dawud 4733Sahih (Al-Albani)
. O Muslims, the Muslims today are between enemies who practice hypocrisy and display Islam, and enemies who reject it and openly declare disbelief and enmity toward Islam. And we are commanded to adopt a weapon suitable for each one. And it is upon us, O brothers, it is upon us to constantly ask Allah to support us with His religion and to support His religion through us.
Indeed, this Arabian Peninsula, and praise be to Allah, is where Islam emerged, and it will return to it, as is authentic from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). It is upon us, the people of this Peninsula, it is upon us to carry the banner of Islam against every person who is an enemy of Islam, whether his enmity is apparent or his enmity is hidden.
O Muslim brothers, indeed hypocrisy is more severe than open disbelief in its enmity toward the Muslims, because Allah the Exalted says regarding those who openly declare enmity toward the Muslims:
O you who have believed, do not take My enemies and your enemies as allies
[Al-Mumtahanah 60:1]
and He (Mighty and Majestic) says:
O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one another
[Al-Ma'idah 5:51]
. But He said regarding the hypocrites who claim Islam while they are disavowed of it: He said:
They are the enemy, so beware of them.
[Al-Munafiqun 63:4]
They are the enemy, so beware of them.
[Al-Munafiqun 63:4]
. And this nominal sentence is a sentence that conveys permanence and stability, and a sentence that conveys restriction, as is the rule in the Arabic language "that the declarative sentence, if its two sides are definite, becomes indicative of restriction". So His saying, the Exalted:
They are the enemy, so beware of them.
[Al-Munafiqun 63:4]
indicates the intensity of the enmity of the hypocrites who claim Islam while they are at war with Islam. O Muslim brothers, I hope that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) will destroy every enemy of the Muslims, whether apparent or hidden. And we shall not hold enmity toward anyone except for one who is an enemy of Islam and the Muslims, and we shall hold love for everyone who is sincere to Islam and the Muslims, whatever his race, in whatever country, and in whatever time. And thus it is obligatory for the Muslim that this be his creed, and that this be his constant practice, and that this be what he worships Allah with and what he dies upon, to be resurrected upon it on the Day of Resurrection
Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except
[Az-Zukhruf 43:67]
except the righteous إلا المتقين
only. O brothers, there is no friendship, no friendship in Arabness, and no friendship in non-Arabness, and no friendship in any homeland and in any country except through Islam and taqwa (mindfulness of Allah).
Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous
[Az-Zukhruf 43:67]
.
O Muslim brothers, I am in this place, the Mosque of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and we are waiting for an obligation from the obligations of Allah. I call myself and you to make our intention for Allah alone, that our sincerity be for our religion, and for Allah, and for His Messenger, and for the believers. And peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
