What are the times for the acceptance of supplication?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Shaykh Abdul Aziz, our brother is also asking about the times in which there are hours of acceptance?

Answer:
The times of acceptance are numerous, and the Sunnah has explained them. Among them is the time between the adhan and the iqamah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
A supplication made between the Adhan and Iqamah is never rejected.
Bulugh al-Maram 16:116
. Also, the middle of the night and the end of the night, for there is an hour in the night in which no supplicant is turned away, and the most likely time is the middle of the night and the end of the night in the last third. It is established from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
Our Lord descends to the earth of the heavens every night when the last third of the night remains, and He says: Who is calling upon Me that I may answer him? Who is asking Me that I may give him? Who is seeking My forgiveness that I may forgive him? Until the dawn breaks.
.
Therefore, the believing man and woman should seek out these times and strive for good, comprehensive supplication in the middle of the night... in the end of the night, in all hours of the night. However, the last third and the middle of the night are more likely to be answered, asking Allah by His beautiful names and His exalted attributes to answer the supplication, with persistence and repetition of the supplication, and persistence in that, and good opinion of Allah, and not despairing, but rather persisting, hoping for his Lord to answer, and increasing in seeking nearness to Allah by His names and attributes, (Glorified and Exalted is He). Also, in prostration, acceptance is hoped for. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The nearest a servant come to his Lord is when he is prostrating himself, so make supplication often.
Sunan Abi Dawud 875Sahih (Al-Albani)
And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Glorify your Lord in Ruku' (bowing posture) and exert yourself in supplication in prostration. Thus your supplications are liable to be accepted.
Riyad as-Salihin 1427
meaning: so it is fitting that you be answered. Muslim narrated both in his Sahih.
Also, when the imam sits on the pulpit on Friday for the sermon, it is a place of acceptance in the Friday prayer and before the taslim from it. Likewise, the end of every prayer before the taslim is a place of supplication in which acceptance is hoped for. Because when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught them the tashahhud, he said:
Then select the invocation you like best and recite it.
Sahih al-Bukhari 835
meaning: at the end of the prayer before he says the taslim. Likewise, the end of Friday day after the 'Asr prayer until the setting of the sun is also a time of acceptance. It is necessary to increase in supplication between the 'Asr prayer and the setting of the sun on Friday, and to be sitting waiting for the prayer, because the one waiting is in the ruling of the one praying. And it is authentic from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said regarding Friday:
Indeed, in it is an hour in which no supplicant is turned away.
and he indicated that it is short, in it
He does not ask Allah while he is standing praying.
The scholars said: meaning: he waits for the prayer, for the one waiting has the ruling of the one praying, because the time of 'Asr is not a time for prayer.
So the conclusion is that the one waiting for the Maghrib prayer is in the ruling of the one praying. He should increase in supplication before the setting of the sun, if he is in the mosque, in the mosque, and if it is a woman or a sick person, in his home, waiting for the prayer and supplicating. All these mentioned times are times of acceptance, in which it is necessary to seek out supplication and increase in it, with sincerity to Allah, and humility and breaking between His hands, and neediness between His hands, (Glorified and Exalted is He), and increasing in praising Him, and beginning the supplication with praise of Allah and sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), for beginning with praise of Allah and praising Him and sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is among the causes of acceptance. May Allah grant everyone success and guidance.
