How to respond to those who claim that the phrase "That is the Book" refers to something other than the Qur'an?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Your Eminence, the Shaykh

The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : One of the non-Muslims raised two doubts for which we did not know the answer. Regarding the saying of Allah the Exalted:
This is the Book about which there is no doubt آلم ذلك الكتاب لا ريب فيه
[Al-Baqarah 2:2]
, he says that the phrase
That is the Book ذلك الكتاب
does not mean this Book.
And the second doubt is regarding the saying of 'Isa (peace be upon him):

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : The saying of the Messenger of Allah, 'Isa (peace be upon him), "and bringing good news of a Messenger who will come after me"

The Shaykh :
And bringing good news of a Messenger ومبشراً برسول

The questioner :
and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad. ومبشرا برسول يأتي من بعدي اسمه أحمد
[As-Saf 61:6]
And the name of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) is Muhammad, so how should we respond to him, may Allah protect you?

The Shaykh : As for the saying of Allah the Glorious:
That is the Book ذلك الكتاب
, all Muslims, both exegetes and jurists, have agreed that it is the Book of Allah the Glorious, this Qur'an. This is because He referred to it as
That is the Book ذلك الكتاب
, and the fact that He used the demonstrative for distance ("that") despite its nearness is evidence of its greatness and high status. For this reason, He said in another verse:
Indeed, this Qur'an guides to that which is most suitable إن هذا القرآن يهدي للتي هي أقوم
[Al-Isra 17:9]
This Qur'an هذا القرآن
, and there is no ambiguity or confusion in this.
